I'm so excited. This weekend there is going to be a new meal added to my gluten free repertoire and it's going to be immense! I adore Mexican food and thanks to the brilliant gluten free friendly Mex Grocer I can now try out something that I've wanted to for ages, Tamales!
It was thanks to Mex Grocer that Mexican was on the menu again as that's where we get our gluten free tortillas from to make our delicious (if I do say so myself!) quesadillas. They're quite small so not really possible to make fajitas with but they're lovely and quesadillas rock anyway.
We've been getting chipotles from them for ages now and this time we added some habaneros to the order, cannot wait for these to arrive as I can't help it, I'll always be a chilihead. It's so good to be able to go to a site like this and not have to scour around for ages looking for the slightest hint of gluten freeness, they make it quite clear as they have their own gluten free section and that's pretty cool for a specialist ingredients website that isn't exclusively gluten free.
So if you like Mexican food go look around, they have a brilliant selection of chillies which are of course naturally gluten free and other wonderful ingredients to cook up a gluten free Mexican storm. Cannot wait for these ingredients to arrive, I'm itching to make tamales. Yum!
