Frijj Milkshakes |
Frijj milkshakes are totally gluten free, full of calcium and low in fat, now that's a milkshake I want to drink!
It was the Raspberry Jam Doughnut flavour that inspired this post. I would usually opt for the banana or vanilla, if I was feeling in need of a really sweet pick me up I would go for one of the chocolate flavours. When presented with the flavour options this time though there was a clear cut winner.
Love This Brand |
Now, jam doughnuts aren't something that I've eaten a lot of in my life - give me a good cheese over a cake or dessert any day - but as soon as I saw the Raspberry Jam Doughnut flavour I was instantly overcome by childhood memories of eating the things.
Obviously, doughnuts are totally off the menu these days and though I really wouldn't want to eat one even if I could, the idea of drinking that taste rather than eating it was highly appealing.
It didn't disappoint. It was just like drinking a doughnut, the flavours were spot on. It's silly but I felt a bit of a 'ha, I win this time coeliac dizz'. I was after all essentially ingesting a doughnut.
Another thing that I think is so great about Frijj milkshakes aside of the wonderful flavours, is that it's great for when you're out and can't find anything safe to eat. Just grab a bottle of frijj and you're full for a good while. It's a great back up for when you are hungry, far better than eating gluten free cakes or biscuits.
