You can sort of blame Andy Murray or Grigor Dimitrov for this post. It's the latter for me as he put paid to me having a massive Wimbledon Pimm's hangover this year, not something I necessarily wanted to endure but it would have meant that Andy had won and I'll take a bad hangover for his team any day.
That's why the recipe I told you I would share hasn't been posted, I was a bit glum (and I don't like to write FFG posts when I'm anything but a bit silly). That and the fact that when I reviewed the photos I took I couldn't exactly use any of them, I know my lackadaisical approach to photography isn't ever going to result in any show stoppers but this was bad even for me.

So this is a really quick little Summery snack using the amazing DS Gluten Free Brioche, it's ridiculously simple but so tasty that I had to share it with you.

A Tudor Lovefest
I'm not a great fan of the word 'idol' - its meaning in the manner I intend it yes, it has a lovely definition - I just find it too, well far too close to 'idle'.....
I could go into much detail about this as I'm in a worky wordy mood but no one really expects serious of me on here, right? Especially when it isn't about food.
The reason I brought up the word 'idol' was because I was trying to think of a word to correctly describe someone, (wow, this is so going read like I've lost the plot). Someone who unless you're a bit... sadistic? Wouldn't really be referred to as an idol. Nor are they actually real (sort of).
If you've never visited now's probably the time for me to say Welcome To MyBloody Strange World.

Three Nation Pancakes - Gluten Free
![]() |
Three Nation Pancakes |
I've been making these Pancakes for ages but I've never had the patience to document the ingredients to share as a recipe, I mix by eye usually going by the batter consistency. Today I broke the ingredients down and hopefully now I can finally post this I can also let this be a red flag with flashing neon lights warning to myself that if I keep on eating these Pancakes I am going to end up SO FAT. I've made, I've shared with you good people and now I must stop myself from this vice before I finish up looking like Mr Blobby's sister.

I'm Not Sorry...
I know it's fake but you know what? It's made me laugh so much.
Here's a thought:

Hawaiian Style Smoked Cheesy Chicken Bacon Bites
![]() |
Prior To Smoking |
This is a recipe that requires a smoker but you can alternatively grill or barbecue them, I haven't done that myself as I highly recommend smoking for the amazing flavours but I'm sure they would still be lovely.
(I've gone with that photo as the lead despite it being of the raw bites because the photos of the smoked versions just don't cut it. You'll have to take my word for it because my photos do no justice to this recipe whatsoever but I can assure you that these are incredibly delish and smoked Pineapple is indeed a sexy revelation.)

Made In Belgium, A Bit Like Me Ancestrally |
So I shared my Tesco surprise with you the other day and this is one of the new items from that aisle that I thought I'd give a go. Hell yeahs, a great product it turns out and naturally gluten free.

DS Gluten Free Brioche Loaf And More
There was supposed to be a recipe post going out today (I know! Been a bloody age) but it'll have to wait until next week because I do like to add a bit of humour to my recipes and quite frankly I'm feeling anything but humorous today. I figure a product review will do just fine, it's a good one. I can do positive, just not funny (funny haha, not funny odd, I'm always funny odd).

Life Is Short
Rik Mayall is the second person whom I was a great admirer of to pass away at at a young age recently and it's so incredibly sad. But in keeping with the tone of this blog, of me, let's laugh. I think it would be disrespectful not to.

Waikiki - London
I think I've mentioned that there's a shop located within our apartment complex, it's useful to have and a decent size for essentials (think a small Tesco Metro). I hadn't been in there for a while until today and I got a bit of a surprise.
As you walk in there's a decent amount of shelf space on the right where there had been an enticing amount of American foods. I never bothered to inspect any of the labels because the very nature of the products meant that it was highly unlikely they would be suitable.
I don't get annoyed about things I can't have, I never have done, what's the bloody point? It's just a case of I'm gluten free and that's that. However, I've always been a bit (I don't want to use the word obsessed here).... into all things American and having grown up watching a lot of shows and films from there I had a decent knowledge of American junk food that I was desperate to try. I was a gluten eating teenager.
