Gluten Free Hong Kong Style Pork
This is a really lovely coeliac recipe if you are missing Chinese restaurant or take away meals. Hong Kong style pork is one of the dishes that I always used to order, and I thought that I could never have it again after becoming a coeliac, how wrong I was! With a bit of experimenting I came up with this gorgeous (if I do say so myself!) Hong Kong style pork recipe.

Serves 2 - 4

Ingredients:

1 Pork Fillet
1 Level Tablespoon Sugar
100ml Gluten Free Soy Sauce
1 Medium to Large Egg
Corn Flour
Sesame Oil

Directions:
  1. Mix the gluten free soy sauce, sugar and egg in a container.
  2. Cut the pork fillet into slices.
  3. Marinate the pork in the GF soy sauce, sugar and egg mixture for 20 - 30 minutes. Make sure it's evenly covered.
  4. In another container pour some corn flour, enough to coat the bottom.
  5. In batches, place the marinated pork fillet slices into the corn flour and cover evenly.
  6. Place floured pork onto a plate or tray.
  7. When the flour coating has turned brown it's ready to be cooked! This usually takes around 20 - 30 minutes.
  8. Heat a frying pan with enough sesame oil to cover the bottom to a high heat.
  9. Shallow fry turning once when the coated pork is golden and crispy on the bottom.
  10. Drain on Kitchen paper to remove any excess oil.
  11. Serve with boiled or fried rice.

Enjoy!
