On the subject of the allergy show, I'm kind of glad that I didn't go. I wasn't on Twitter much over the weekend but I did see some disturbing reports of cross contamination issues. Non gluten free bread being offered for gluten free dips, samples just sat on a tray for anyone to touch. That wasn't what I expected it to be like.
I don't know exactly what I was expecting, but I didn't consider cross contamination to be a concern. It does bother me that some who are producing gluten free goods are just in it for the big business, it's those who don't fully understand the condition and the complications surrounding it who make coeliac life harder. I'm not going fully into it but just look at the Dominos saga, launch a gluten free pizza that isn't suitable for coeliacs! I voiced my concern months ago when lots of people were campaigning for the UK to have gluten free Dominos. No thanks! Why people don't think things through is beyond me.
So yes, doubt that I'll be making a trip to an allergy or free from show any time soon.
I have been very shoddy on the documenting recipes front, nothing new coming as of yet. Still open to suggestions!
