Gluten Free Barbecue Sauce
The photo's a bit blurry but you get the idea. Updated photo! This was a discovery that I didn't mean to find but I'm so glad that I did. This barbecue sauce was originally a glaze for ribs, but due to time constraints I didn't get a chance to use it, once cooled it turned into a really lovely, rich barbecue sauce.

It's super easy to make and if you were to prefer it smooth (it has tomato pulp in it) you would just simply put it into a blender once you had removed it from the hob. Homemade gluten free barbecue sauce from scratch!

Ingredients:

1 tin Plum Tomatoes
1/2 can Coke
1/2 teaspoon Chilli Powder
1 heaped tablespoon Garlic Powder
400ml gluten free Chicken Stock
4 level tablespoons Honey
5 tablespoons Tamari Soy Sauce
Generous pinch of Sea Salt

Directions:
  1. Mash the tomatoes into a pulp in a bowl or container
  2. Add the other ingredients and mix
  3. Pour into a pan and let boil so the sauce reduces
  4. After around 30 minutes the sauce should have reduced by half
  5. Remove from heat and let cool
  6. You now have gluten free barbecue sauce!
Really easy huh? You can store this in the fridge for a couple of weeks and have constant gluten free barbecue sauce to hand. I haven't done a costing but I'm certain that making your own will cost a lot less than a gluten free shop bought one.

Enjoy!
