Red Pork Cooking In The Wok With Pak Choi |
This is such a simple recipe that you could serve with a variety of sides. It has a star anise, cinnamon, paprika, sweet and salty flavour combination going on. Lovely!
Ingredients:
Pork Fillet
1 sachet of Red Pork Seasoning (Always check the ingredients)
120ml Cold Water
1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon Corn Flour
Directions:
- Mix the red pork seasoning with the water and mix until there is no powder left
- Cut the pork fillet into thin slices (around 1/2 cm)
- Add the pork to the liquid and move around until all the pork is covered
- Marinate in the fridge for at least 5 hours
- Heat a wok on high and add the sesame oil
- Put the pork slices into the pan but don't add the marinade liquid
- Cook on high for about 8 - 10 mins turning frequently
- Once the pork is cooked through remove and keep warm
- Turn the heat down low
- Add the red pork marinade to the wok
- Mix 2 tablespoons of water into the corn flour until smooth
- Add the corn flour mix into the wok and stir
- Turn the heat back on high and stir
- In a few minutes you should have a lovely thick sauce to serve with your pork
